Lagos NAPTIP Zonal Commander pays courtesy visit to AIG Ahmed Iliyasu

The newly appointed Commander in-charge National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Lagos Zonal Command, Mr. Daniel Atokolo paid a courtesy visit on the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+ today, Wednesday, August 19, 2020. 

The visit, according to Zone 2 Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Hauwa Idris Adamu, was to geared synergy and concerted efforts between NAPTIP and the Nigeria Police in dealing effectively with multifaceted nature of crime of human trafficking.

The Commander in retinue of officers was ushered into the office of the AIG where proper introduction of the Zonal management team and the Commander’s entourage took place.

The Commander stated reason for the courtesy visit; which is sustenance of the existing synergy between the agencies while the AIG in his response; reiterate the commitment and readiness of the Zone to synergize and collaborate with NAPTIP in ensuring partnership towards tackling the hydra headed menace of the crime of human trafficking, child labour, slavery and other gender offences that have become multifaceted and transnational; using the veritable tool of Community Policing Strategy of problem solving and to maintain a good work relationship, the visit was drawn to an end amidst group photographs.
