The Corps Commander and Chief Executive Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi, has charged the agency's personnel to be more diligent and proactive with good conduct while on duties.
"Diligent, proactive, productive with good conduct and utmost friendly approach to road users while on duties are all we need to soar higher,” the Corps Commander said.
He said the officers' manners of approach to road users must always be politeness, urging them to be good ambassadors of the corps in the course of performing their lawful duties at all times.
He charged the Corps operatives to be more engaged in rendering necessary and friendly assistance to motorists to reduce stress that might confronting them on highway.
The Commander Ogunyemi, disclosed this following the ugly incident that occurred at the Agency's Headquarter in Abeokuta, where a man took his life by taking snipper, after his inability to pay statutory fine for committing traffic offence.
He ordered 24 hours operation to all TRACE operatives and they must be visible in all black spots including quick response and intervention to all emergency situations on the road, assisting motorists to tow breaking down vehicles off the road to prevent unforseen traffic crashes.
Ogunyemi specified vehicles having mechanical faults, fuel issues, in need of direction and other complain should be assisted in every possible way.
He urged motoring public to always visit TRACE Headquarters to seek redress when dissatisfied with any treatment meted against them in any of the Commands.
