My master paid me N500, plate of food to kill people – 19-year-old ritualist

A 19-year-old Sunday Sodipe and 50-year-old Adedokun Yinusa have arrested following a manhunt launched by the Oyo State Police Command, to capture the criminals responsible for the series of killings in Akinyele area of the state and they were both paraded yesterday.

Sunday Sodipe the suspected ritualist and serial killer confessed to committing the crime, but he said it was on the request of the herbalist Adedokun Yinusa whom he works for.
Sunday said he didn’t know what the killings were for, but each time the herbalist sends him on a mission to kill someone, the herbalist makes an incantation on him and then gives him some instructions to do to the corpse of his victim
He said when he locates his victims he attacks and kills them with a shovel, and then as instructed by the herbalist, he makes an indentation on the corpse of the victim for 5 minutes before leaving
And when he returns successfully the herbalist gives him 500 naira and a plate of food to eat as his reward. He said he has killed 5 persons so far.
The herbalist Adedokun Yinusa, however, denied involvement in the crime, he said he barely even knows Sunday and that Sunday’s mother had brought Sunday to treat him of waywardness and after 2 months she brought Sunday back to him still complaining and said she wants him to be his apprentice.
He said after 6 days, he could no longer tolerate the boy’s stubbornness and so he drove the boy away.
