SARS busts robbery gang's hideout in Ogun, arrested five suspects

Operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has on early hour of Thursday, July 24, 2020, bursted in the hideout of robbery suspects terrorising Osiele and its environs in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, and arrested four suspects including their herbalist.

The suspects, According to Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, were: Dayo Ajala ‘m’ (aka Otege), 39 years;  Ismaila Badmus ‘m’ (aka Obasanjo), 35years; Joseph Sunday ‘m’ (aka JJ)  24 years, Chuckwuemeka Paul (aka Ejima (27 years) and Okikiola Adeshina 46 years, who is also their herbalist were arrested following an information received by the SARS operatives about their hideout at Odeda area.
Upon the information, the Officer in Charge OC) SARS, Csp Tijani Muhammed led his men to the area and cordoned off the hideout, at the end of the operation, four members of the gang were apprehended, their arrest led to the arrest of their herbalist who they claimed is their godfather that used to fortify them spiritually whenever they are going out for operation and also used to initiate new member into their fold.
Recovered from them are one double barrel locally made short gun, one battle axe, two knives  and assorted dangerous charms.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Cp Edward A. Ajogun has ordered full scale investigation into the activities of the suspects with the view to prosecute them diligently.
