BY OLALEKAN AYENI: The Ogun State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) CC Ahmed Umar has advised motorists to be patient and drive cautiously while approaching the 3-Ososa bridges, along Ijebu-Ode-Ore expressway.

The advice was a sequel to the road assessment exercise conducted at the Ososa Bridges by the Sector Commander, on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in company of the Federal Comptroller of Works Ogun State, Engr. Bakare Umar, representative of Raynolds Construction Company (RCC), Engr. Raymond and the Corridor Commander, Corridor 6, DCC Lasisi Ogundele following a reported case of fatal crash that killed four people penultimate Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
Corps Commander Umar, said the Federal Comptroller Umar has directed the management of RCC to begin immediate fixing of palliatives on the bridges as agreed to reduce motorists vulnerability to traffic injuries and deaths.
According to the FRSC Chief, one of such move was the temporary placement of movable New Jersey Concrete Barriers at the edges of the 3- bridges to create a more motorable environment and prevent vehicles from free fall into the river in the event of traffic crashes.
He noted that a good number of New Jerseys have been placed on the edges of the 3 bridges by RCC, adding that traffic has been temporarily diverted for a seamless palliative exercise.
He stressed that FRSC traffic control operatives from Ijebu Ode are on ground to continue managing the traffic situation.
