Three killed, six injured in lonely crash along Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A toddler and two underaged girls were reportedly killed while seven others sustained degree of injuries in lonely crash in Mowe-Ibafo area, along Lagos/Ibadan expressway, Ogun State.



INFORMATION CARRIER gathered that a white Mazda bus with Registration Number FUM 109 ZD, coming from Ilorin, Kwara State to Lagos, suddenly developed mechanical fault and sulmasulted three times before landed into a ditch, near Redeemed Youth Camp.
The injured victims (two males and five females) were quickly rescued to Idera Hospital at Tollgate, Sagamu by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) operatives, Police and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), while the dead were also taken to Fakoya Private Morgue.
The TRACE Corps Commander and Chief Executive, Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi, urged motorists to always maintain utmost lower speed to prevent reocurrence of such ugly incident.
He said majority of road traffic crashes are avoidable if motorists obey all traffic rules. Adding that the agency would continue to have zero tolerance for indiscipline on the part of drivers killing innocent souls on the road.
Commander Ogunyemi, appealed to all motorists to ensure their vehicles are in road worthy condition before embarking on a journey.
