Eight persons have reportedly died in a fatal crash that occoured on Saturday night along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, after Sapede Bridge.
The lone accident, according to Ogun State Sector Command's Public Education Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Florence Okpe, involved a Mazda bus with registration number AAA249VX with total of 11 persons on board including the driver.
Officer Okpe, said three persons were injured - all adults.
INFORMATION CARRIER gathered that the suspected cause of the lone accident was tyre burst which led to loss of control and went into flame immediately it crashed.
It further gathered that FRSC Operatives contacted the sagamu fire service immediately for a joint rescue operations.
The injured victims INFORMATION CARRIER further learnt were taken to Hospital for medical attention and the Health Department of Remo North Local Government also contacted for the burnt victims.
The Ogun Sector Commander Ahmed Umar, advised motorists to drive cautiously, obey traffic rules and regulations and ensure their vehicles components especially tyres are in good condition before embarking on a journey.
