An ex-Police officer, Chief Joseph Ayodele, has debunked rumours spreading across the the media organisations that he has been declared wanted by Nigeria Police, describing him as a leader of land grabber syndicate in Ogun State.
Chief Ayodele, while responding to a publication in one of the daily newspaper, which described him as a dismissed police officer and the leader of land grabbing syndicate in the state, explained that the news published in the newspaper, was the handwork of his enemies who are trying to drag his image into the mud.
He emphasised that he was never dismissed from police force nor ever involved in land grabbing activities.
Chief Ayodele said, he was a legitimate land agent who is duly registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Chief Ayodele, while explaining what transpired between his workers and police officers attached to Atan Ota Division, said some unknown persons without his consent polished lies against him at the Police Station, instead for the police to invite him, they resulted in arresting his workers at site where they are working diligently, adding that the exercise did not go well with the workers.
He stressed that after much argument between the police officers and his workers, the policemen fled the scene, noticing that their illegal operation to the site has been exposed.
According to him, one of the Police officers dropped his riffle while running to escape.
"I was not around when the incident happened, but heard about the incident from my workers who called to inform me of the situation.
"I personally put a call through to the Police Area Commander in Agbara, ACP Bolanle Muritala, to inform him about the situation and requested that he should send one of his men to collect the riffle which he did.
"I have the video evidence where my workers handed over the riffle to the police officer. "So, how did I turned to a land grabber in this case, Chief Ayodele, asked."
This is the hand work of my enemies who are not happy with my progress and want to tarnish my image. I have reported the case personally to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, who said he is fully interested in the case.
"I served as police officer at the Annex Headquarters of Police, Kansalem House, Obalende, Lagos, before I honourably bowed out without any form of stain in year 2005 to established my own business.
