Imohimi Edgal has been appointed the new Comissioner of Police in charge of the Nigeria Police Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARS). It was gathered that his posting is to reposition the outfit with a view of tackling violent crimes across the country.
Edgal, a well-known crime-buster was responsible for the operation that led to the suppression of the activities of the dreaded Badoo cult in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, the gang's activities that already sent some residents of Ikorodu and its environs into extinction. His operational intelligence in combination with his sheer doggedness and lionhearted nature amounted to a stumbling block for the vampires.
The quality of his exceptional policing in Lagos within 18 months will eternally be remembered for good. Egal's success in handling criminal cases during his time is highly rated and outstanding.
Following his latest appointment as the SARS boss by the Inspector-General of Police, it is anticipated that with his extraordinary experience he would reposition the image and activities of the SARS operatives.
