The Lagos State Sector Commander, CC Segun Ogungbemide with his Advocacy Team were at the Apostolic Church, Lawna Headquarters, Olorunda, Ketu today Sunday 4th April,2021 in continuation of the Sector's Easter Programmes .
The Sector Commander who was accompanied by the Lagos State Coordinator for Special Marshal,SM Olusola Olojede, the Unit Commander of Ojota Unit Command, ACC Obi and the Lagos State Secretary for Special Marshal, SM Segun Akintan.
Others in his Team were the Sector Public Enlightenment Officer, RC Olabisi Sonusi, the Head of Special Marshals at Ojota Unit Command, RC Apollo, the Unit Coordinator of Safeway special marshal Unit 82, SM Olabisi Dennis and other Officers and Marshals from the Lagos State Sector Command and Ojota Unit Command.
To receive the Sector Commander, CC Segun Ogungbemide and his entourage were the Members of Special Marshal from Unit 77 headed by SM Emmanuel Adebiyi who is also the Welfare Officer for the Special Marshals in Lagos State.
The Sector Commander's first point of call during his Easter Advocacy visit to the Apostolic Church Headquarters was the Lagos Area Headquarters of the Church which was located within the same compound of the National Headquarters .
The State Welfare Officer for the Special Marshal, SM Emmanuel Adebiyi , who is also the Unit Coordinator for Unit 77 that played host to the Sector Commander and his entourage was asked by the Area Superintendent of the Church , Pastor J. A. O . Akingbade to introduce the Sector Commander and his Team.
The Sector Commander , CC Segun Ogungbemide whose knowledge of the Bible was noted by the time he was asked to address the congregation . He took his teaching from the Gospel according to Saint Matthew Chapter 26 verse 40 where Jesus found his disciples sleeping , rather than watching with him .
He used this as an illustration on the need for the passangers to be their brothers' keepers whenever they are on a journey by cautioning the drivers while overspeeding, while making calls , etc , instead for them to be sleeping or making unnecessary discussions when the drivers are driving them to eternal death .
After his powerful domesticated enlightenment campaign, photographs were taken and he with his entourage were ushered into the National Temple of the Church , not far from this Area Headquarters . This National Temple was built to accommodate 100,000 worshippers .
It was an Easter Sunday with a significant difference for the Sector Commander and his entourage as the National Temple of the Church Headquarters in Nigeria was being used for a 4 - Day Yearly Easter Youths Convocation with over 3,000 youths in attendance .
The Sector Commander , and his entourage were received at the National Temple by the Lawna Vice Chairman and Pastor I . O . Ogunrinola , the Metro Youth Leader and the Church Youths Pastor , Pastor G. O . Uyeh who both stood in for the Lawna Territorial Chairman , Pastor ( Dr. ) E . S . Awojide who was on an official assignment outside the State .
After a formal introduction by SM Adebiyi , the Sector Commander was ushered into the podium for the business of the day .
The Sector Commander,who should be referred to as the Manager of time was able to judiciously manage the 10 minutes allocated to him to address these youths .
He titled his address to these Youths as : Heaven's Reactions When You Get Involved In Crashes .He used the account of a staff of an Oil Company who out of his own negligence died in a crash to educate the Congregation of the Youths of the Church .
He told everyone gathered that it's not the will of God for anyone to get involved in a crash , neither is it the will of God for anyone to die through crash . He freely quoted from Jeremiah 29:11 that the thoughts of the LORD towards everyone are that of peace and not of evil .
He ended his advocacy with applauses from the congregation . After his Enlightenment Campaign to the congregation of the Youths of the Church , photographs were taken with the leaderships of the Church after which everyone dispersed .
