Cleric prays, decried divine protection for security, traffic agencies

The Bishop Diocese of Awori Anglican Communion, The Rt. Revd. Johnson Akinwande Atere (PhD), has called on security and traffic agents, especially member of Federal Road Safety  Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) and Nigeria Police to put themselves under the protection of the Almighty God because of the sensitivity and harzadours of their calling.


He said God is the only security expert and perfect protector, adding that nobody can guide or secure someone perfectly except the Almighty God.
The renowned clergyman made this call during a prayer programme organised for the members of the TRACE Corps at the Area 4 Headquarters of the agency in Ado-Ota Local Goverment Area of Ogun State, as his continuation to his Annual Episcopal visitation to institutions, agencies and industries, aimed to pray and committing both the employes, employers and members of the public's journey for the new year into the care of Almighty God.
The Bishop, said: "The motive behind the visition is a calling on my ministry to go round to institutions, companies and agencies that required assistance in prayers for God's protections and committing all their activities for the year to Almighty God for Him (God) to protect them against all injuries and dangers that peculiar to their job.
"I realised how hazardous the Nigeria Uniform job are, the personnel are always on the road and other critical areas, facing security challenges just to secure and protect the community and its residents without considering their own security and protections.
"There have been series of testimonies yearly as a result of the prayers. Because the ultimate protector is God. He (God) is more than able to answer prayers and granted every human being his heart desires.
The man of God, expressed concern over high levels at which residents especially the road users believed they are enemies irrespective of their thankless efforts of securing lives and properties both in homes and highways.
He commended TRACE personnels for embarking on series of ideas, techniques, strategies and unrelented efforts that is making the roads more safe for the users.
He told the officers to continously teaching and educating the general public about highway codes and also remain genuine ambassadors of God while on duty or anywhere they go.
He also appealed to the personnels to always study environment, applied wisdom, professionalism and consider their safety first while on the road. 
The Bishop, urged the officers to always remain valiantly and gallantly as genuine soldiers of Christ, succeeding where others might have failed and ensure they create even if its five minutes out of their tight schedule to worship God the great security and pretector.
“You will surely fulfil destiny. Heaven investment in and on you shall not be a waste. You will do excellently, not disappointedly. In all, you will do well and finish strong, in Jesus name,” the Bishop said in prayers.
The Area 4 Commander of the Corps, Commander Adekunle Ariyo Ajibade on behalf of the Corps Commander/Chief Executive Officer, Olaseni Ogunyemi, thanked the Bishop and his entourage for counted the agency worth among the listed organisations to visit.
He appealed to the Bishop and his entourage to help the Corps and other traffic management to spread the gospel of road safety across the churches under the Diocese, saying it will also help the efforts of impacting knowledge about highway codes into the road users.
