*Preach more compliance to COVID 19 protocols
BY OLALEKAN AYENI: The immediate past Commissioner for Local Goverment and Chiefaincy Affairs in Ogun State, High Chief Waliu Olajide Ojuko has felicitates with all Muslim faithfuls across the country and the world on the as they celebrate 2020 EID-EL-KABIR.
He enjoined them to reflect on the importance of the Sallah celebration which is to strengthen their faith in Allah and be good ambassadors of Islam by ensuring peace at all times.
He urged Nigerians to be ready to make sacrifice for the development of the country in the spirit of the festival.
He disclosed this in a statement released by him in Ota, the ancient city of Aworiland.
Chief Ojuko said: "Eid-El-Kabir is a huge celebration to all Muslim faithfuls but they are all expected to celebrate in the spirit of submission to the will of Allah exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim’s rare example.
“Like Prophet Ibrahim, let us be ready to make sacrifices for the well being of Nigerians and development of the country”.
“May the joy of Eid-El-Kabir be multiplied many folds in our lives and the life of our great nation. May the blessings of Almighty Allah be with us all forever.”
Chief Ojuko implored Nigerians to observe all Covid-19 preventive protocols such as maintaining social/physical distancing, use of face mask, washing and sanitising hands from time to time while celebrating the Sallah.
The ex-two-term Commissioner Ojuko praised and prayed for President Muhammadu Buhari and Senator Ibikunle Amosun that may Almighty Allah continue to shower HIS mercies and protection including sound health on them as the continuously working for the progress and development of this country.
