Two persons believing to be an okada rider and his passenger have reportedly died on Sunday morning of October 4, 2020, in an accident that occoured at Car Park 'C' area of Mowe, outbound Lagos State, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The fatal crash, INFORMATION CARRIER, gathered involved a motorcycles, popularly known as 'okada' with Reg PKA 147 VF and a Mack Truck with no plate number.
The crash, according to an eyewitness (name witheld), said the motorcyclist while riding against traffic 'lane indiscipline' from Redeemed to Mowe, ran into the truck driving on its legitimate lane heading towards interchange.
The accidented truck has been taken to Redeemed Police Station by Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), officials while the two dead victim's (the pillion rider and the pillion passenger) have been taken to Fakoya Mortuary, Sagamu in Ogun State.
The TRACE Corps Commander/Chief Executive Officer, Olaseni Ogunyemi, while commiserating with the deceased's families, used the medium to appealed to motorists and motorcyclists to avoid driving in a direction prohibited by traffic (One-Way) particularly on an expressway due to its attendant risk.
