Ogun SO-SAFE nabs notorious motorcycle snatcher declared wanted by police

A notorious highway robber and motorcycle snatcher, Oluwatosin Abowaba, who had been declared wanted by Mowe and Ijebu-Ode Police Divisions has on Wednesday, July 15, around 6pm, arrested by Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (SO-SAFE)


A statement issued by the Corps' Director of Information
and Public Relations, ACC Moruf Yusuf, reviewed that the Corps Commander Soji Ganzallo, few weeks ago ordered the Redeemed Division of the agency to ensure this notorious robber be apprehended and transfered to nearby jurisdiction of Nigeria police immediately.
According to the statement, the suspect is alleged to have involved in different cases of stolen Motorcycles in both Mowe and Ijebu axis.
The suspect Abowaba is mentioned by gang of arrested criminals in police custody that he receives any stolen Motorbike and offered for sale to buyers.
The gang further confessed that the suspect Abowaba is the kingpin that do successfully taken every Motorbike stolen in Mowe, Obafemi-Owode Local Government to Ijebu-Ode for sale.
The So-Safe Redeemed Division with a proper intelligence gathering techniques successfully got the crime suspect Oluwatosin Abowaba a.k.a Maja, a garage ticketer, who has been declared wanted for one crime or the other by Ijebu-Ode and Mowe Divisional Police Headquarters arrested at Olowotedo, Mowe at about 06:00hrs on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
Deadly weapons found with him are cutlass, cleaver knife, iron rods, a crow bar and different charms using to support the weapons.
The suspect has been  transferred together with the items to Mowe Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution .
